My goal as a writer and editor is to tell stories around food and the people producing it. I work with publications, brands, and authors to teach readers why they should source their ingredients carefully, and to look at their individual food and drink choices in a broader historical, global context — even when choosing something local and regional. I don’t think individual actions will solve all our problems but I do think food is a clever way to get people to see the bigger picture (and hopefully act on it, collectively).
I also care deeply about cooking and believe it is an essential life skill, not a lifestyle. I want everyone to be able to use what they have, improvise when needed, and cook with confidence.
I love restaurants and the people who make them possible, but I don’t typically write about restaurants or eating out. (In B2B, branded content, and similar spaces, however, I’m happy to write about chefs and restaurants.)
